Scarlet Sparkwing

The Nightopian forest was lush, and full of life. Furtive rustles as small furry creatures darted amongst the underbrush, and birdsong filled the air, as the noonday sun shone down through the canopy.

 For the Nightmaren patrol wandering its paths, it was a difficult ordeal. Nauseated by the sunlight and their surroundings in generals, they failed to notice a flock of small birds following them.

 They perched in the branches nearby their boisterous chirping filling the air, much to the annoyance of the patrol members who cursed and threw stone and clods of earth in vain attempt to drive them away.

 So pre occupied were they that they fail spot movement in the bushes as a Nightopian patrol positioned themselves for an ambush.

The patrol leader peered out from his hiding place and a puffed upon a small silver whistle. At the sound the birds launched from their perches and dived towards the nightmaren, as flashes of lightning flashed about their wings.

Scarlet Sparkwings are native to Nightopia and are found throughout the realms forested regions, and are also occasionally found in Dreamscapes belong to Visitors who associate with Nightopians.

 A Scarlet Sparkwing is roughly the size of a finch, and is an incredible fast and agile creature.

 Like many of Nightopias’ denizens they dislike Nightmaren, and have a strong rapport with Nightopians. It is said that wherever Nightopians travel, these little birds are not too far behind.

Powers/ Abilities:

Spark Wing: These little birds possess organs that can generate a powerful electric current and it wing plumage made to conduct the electricity released. Scarlet Sparkwings mainly use this ability for defense, mostly against Nightmaren.
